Have felt this way for a ...I can definately relate. Have felt this way for a VERY long time indeed. I am yet to find belonging.<br /><br />In Ghana, I felt like an outsider in school , at work...but since I've been in the States I feel like the door was shut...with me still outside. <br /><br />I want to go back 'home' but that's a scarey prospect because I left trying to find 'home' and going back feels like digressing.<br /><br />I feel I belong in my head and sometimes my heart agrees. Still dealing with these issues before I can afford to let someone in, because I want to let someone in. Here in the US, I don't think i've ever felt a sense of belonging for more than a few days at a time. Even in Ghana though, I sometimes feel as if i don't belong with people - it's like I just belong on the land. At other times I feel like i don't belong because i don't belong - my home is not in this world, and then i can't wait to die so i can go home.
