So I just read ODB (Our daily Bread) thus my inspiration for this post. I feel like these days I have just let life get in the way of several things. I have wasted many hours or days not doing what should be done and just worrying about what everyone thinks. I must say I have slacked quite a bit when it comes to blogging too leaving my entries to once a month at best. Quite appaling in my opinion but again, my excuse is Kyle. HA!
Anyways, life definitely must go on. I have alsways loved the name David so it came as no surprise when I wanted a middle name for my son to decide on David. I put aside any sentiment of naming my son after his ancestors and settled on David(with hubby's approval). The meaning of David which is "beloved" was not even what drew me to the name but the fact that God said of King David "This is a man after my own heart". Can you imagine having God's approval in this way?
How would people describe you in a few words if they were to write your biography? Would it be tasteful, heartfelt, bitter, insulting, spiteful, condescending, amazing etc? I have been thinking about it quite a bit for the last few hours. Many times we forget about what God thinks about us and focus on what others think. It is good to a certain extent to recieve a great evaluation from people but ultimately, God's approval surpasses all.
Here's a few words to describe some of my favorite people
Hubby: Selfless, loving man who cares more about people than he lets on. Very intelligent, diligent and meticulous in his undertakings. The love of my life!
Daddy: Godly man who's private life matches his public life. Undoubtedly, one of the most Godfearing people I have ever encountered.
Mama: Very humble and prayerful woman without whose guidance I would be absolutely lost
Zeinab: Friend for always!
I do have a long list of names but for the purposes of not boring my readers to tears, I will end here. Have an amazing day y'all!

Gestures
I once met this lady and her daughter
She smiled a lot ''coz she was a toddler
Naught in this world could make her smile falter
Actually, waving at her made the smile brighter
That simple gesture eventually gave me so much pleasure
And for ages to come it''s something I will always treasure
Not because I was deeply touched, by the way it caused much laughter
Not because it was from a stranger, but because there was no measure
I once let out a sigh of relief from so much pent up feelings
It was so overwhelming it made me cry without seeing
Then a dear lady came along and showed me love unending
She did not have to do a task so straining
All she said was, "you're having a bad day sweetie"
And offered the best solution ever
She just smiled at me and said simply
"For you I'll say a prayer"
I had a peaceful feeling all day, for I knew I was being prayed for
This gesture overwhelmed me, for the dear lady was not of my race or color
But she broke all racial barriers with a simple word like prayer

Word
I am still very buffled by the world around me. People are very interesting and very strange. I usually pay close attention to the kind of interaction that goes on in between people and it always amazes me. I usually wonder if people are being truthful, fake, mean, nice or just real! Anyways, I have to call home. Oh...I'm thinking of doing lunch with some of the Calvin girls tomorrow. We'll see if that happens.
I am trying to embed some music and its driving me nuts. Anyways, I'll try it again later. Uhm...Oh I am going to be volunteering for Planned Parenthood! I do understand that some people think they are the abortion group but before anyone chews me out for selling my soul to the devil group, here me out. They are Pro Choice which means they have to present people with all the choices that are available including the pros and cons of every decision they decide to go with. Its more like helping people to make informed decisions. I know some people may beg to differ but really, this is what I believe they are about. I'm really looking forward to learning from people! I gotta go now. The hubby is in and we need to enjoy each other!...

Before I forget, I had a haircut! Yep I cut my long tresses and opted for a short crop.
