Tried to express myself in the most articulate way possible
No matter how articulate I was, my expressions fell short
I wish you could have heard my heart speak
'Cos when my mouth tried to form the words, they fell short
Alas, my words failed me.
They say out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks
My heart is full of many beautiful words
But this mouth does not always convey the right message
And my words come out in spurts
It's only a semblance of the image I would like to paint
Only a shadow of what my heart projects...

I think I know that feeling. It's a bit like drowning in a pool, in a dream. Hmm.
oooh my dear, i know exactly what u mean....and then in the end, u're like why din i say dis or dat n dat? These days when its a really important conversation, i make a list, either on paper somewhere or in my head, it helps a little to think about it for a while and not just have a vague idea of what u want to say.
@ Nana Yaw- exactly! or that feeling of falling into a bottomless pit!...grrr
@Shels- thinking about it is great but sometimes I over think it and then it turns into something else...not what I begun with!...more frustration!hehe
I've been there too. I tried to write my thoughts down once, and he said, "Geez, you are all prepared for combat, eh?"
I felt so small. But if I don't write it down, I tend to drift off to other petty issues. Its so hopeless.
@Iris- You know that feeling too eh?hmm...what to do?
Amazing that I was thinking this exact same thought yesterday..
At least now I know it's not a lonely world I'm in..

Quite frustrating I agree! But someone once told me just start writing, and the words will figure themselves out.. works sometimes :)
@ Chinchin- very sound advice. Often times, I just start writing and let it flow before I try to edit:)
